1st Grade - We are listening to "Peter and the Wolf" and learning how to recognize the sounds of the instruments that represent the characters in the story.
2nd Grade - The students took two tests this week in which they had to identify pictures of instruments and the sounds of instrument families. We are now in a new unit on musical form.
3rd Grade - We had our first rehearsal on the stage this week. The show is coming along! Please check the 3rd grade show tab at the top of this blog for more details.
4th Grade - We are learning about tempo and dynamics while improvising on the Orff instruments.
5th Grade - Lunch recess rehearsals have started for everyone. Mondays - Don't Worry, Be Happy percussion group, Tuesdays - script, Wednesdays - All Boys, Thursdays - Happy percussion group, Fridays - All Girls. These rehearsals will last 15 minutes.
