2nd Grade - We learned about progressive songs this week. Ask your student about the old lady who swallowed a pie!
3rd Grade - We focused some time on reading rests as well as notes while singing. We saw many of them in a beautiful Thanksgiving song. The children also sang alone for me so that I could assess their voices. They sound like angels!
4th Grade - We have a large Native American pow wow drum in the music room. We are playing beats in different meters, learning how to keep control of the tempo and listen to each other to have better success through teamwork. They are learning a canoe song and a song about a dream catcher.
5th Grade - The 5th grade t-shirts have arrived! Thank you for turning in your money quickly for these. I appreciate it!
We have been working hard on some voice exercises. They are able to sing in 3 part harmony a cappella. This is not easy! They are also working on a challenging Orff piece. I'm so proud of these children. Each class with them is a joy!
