Week of March 7 - 12

Kindergarten - We are continuing to have fun listening and dancing to Camille Saint-Saens' "Carnival of the Animals".

1st Grade - This week we started a spring time song and a weather song. We also played xylophones to accompany "Rain, Rain Go Away".

2nd Grade - We started an online safari adventure! We are making our way through Benjamin Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra with a site through Carnegie Hall.

3rd Grade - Students should have their scripts and schedules now. It is very important that they memorize their lines as soon as possible. The show will sneak up on us once we return from spring break!

4th Grade - The word of the week was "Tempo". We used a metronome, posters, SFS Kids, and an online drum machine to experience music at different speeds.

5th Grade - We focused all our time this week on the choreography for our opening song "One". Hopefully it will be worth it! I sent home a long letter about our 5th grade show yesterday. A copy of this letter can be found under the 5th Grade Show tab at the top of this blog. I hope that you consider helping out by getting involved with one or more of the committees I listed.

Have a great weekend!
