Week of January 30 - February 3

Such exciting times here at Ivy Hill! The Fun Fair is tonight and the District Variety Show is tomorrow! I hope to see at both events!

Kindergarten - We had some fun with a Groundhog dance and a Valentine dance this week.

1st Grade - The students can now sing through John F. Kennedy in our Presidents song.

2nd Grade - Thank you to all who have gotten involved with costumes and scenery for our show!

3rd Grade - The students are learning about all different kinds of rests as we make our way through the states and capitals song. We also enjoyed learning a groundhog rhythm with 4 intertwined parts.

4th Grade - This week we focused on two new notes on the recorder - low E and high C.

5th Grade - I am so proud of these kids. Their singing voices are beautiful and healthy. We had some vocal challenges this week, dealing with sharps, flats, naturals, segnos and codas. They did not let me down! They not only nailed these challenges, they are memorizing at a record pace!
