1st Grade - Please make sure that your child has all the clothing ready for our show. Check the 1st Grade Show tab at the top of this blog to see the letters I've sent home that include the details.
2nd Grade - This week we had fun playing instruments with holiday songs and we danced a simple version of the hora. We watched a video of John Williams conducting Leroy Anderson's Sleigh Ride and practiced identifying instruments of the orchestra.
3rd Grade - We explored several time signatures and created stick patterns to match them. We played these patterns along with a couple of Las Posadas songs.
4th Grade - We played glockenspiels and xylophones with a Christmas song and a Hanukkah song. We also started a unit on The Nutcracker ballet.
5th Grade - The students took a quiz on hearing the difference between major and minor music. We are also continuing to rehears the choir chime pieces.
