Week of February 23 - 27

st Grade - We are done learning all of the names of the United States Presidents!  We played a singing game about George Washington and the cherry tree.  In this game, they had to identify a classmate's singing voice without looking.  They know the sounds of each others voices!

nd Grade - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!  The students performance of "Swamped!" was wonderful!  Thank you to all of the parents who helped make this show so special!  The costumes and scenery were fantastic!!

rd Grade - We are rehearsing for the 3rd grade show "Goal!" and preparing for the upcoming music class in the computer lab.  The students will be using Garage Band to enhance a speech they have recorded.

th Grade - We have left the African drums for a while and have started a unit on Orff instruments.  These students are playing glockenspiels, xylophones and mettalophones.  They are learning a lot of new music vocabulary and are making beautiful music together on these instruments.

th Grade - This week the students learned the choreography for "Mambo Italiano".  I am impressed with how quickly they picked it up!  I sent a 2 page letter home this week regarding the 5th grade show.  Please check the 5th grade show tab at the top of this blog to see a copy of this letter.
