Kindergarten - We have been working on melodies that get higher and lower. They are learning how to play high notes and low notes on a glockenspiel.
2nd Grade - The 2nd grade show "Pirates!" is underway! Auditions were held last week and the cast list has been posted. Children with speaking parts now have a rehearsal calendar and a script with their parts highlighted.
3rd Grade - The students are now learning about ledger lines and how they function in music. We have started rehearsing a song in which they sing all 50 states in alphabetical order. They are also applying their note reading skills in this song.
4th Grade - We are continuing our unit on instruments of the orchestra. We have played several classroom and online games and will begin taking the quizzes today.
5th Grade - We are continuing to rehearse for the 5th grade show. Adding harmony parts is a new challenge that students are meeting with much success!
