Kindergarten - We are rehearsing on the stage now!
1st Grade - We are finishing our unit on Prokofiev's "Peter and the Wolf" with a puppet show video tape that reviews all of the instruments, characters and musical themes that we have studied.
2nd Grade - Each class composed a short piece of music using GarageBand. The purpose of this was to create music in specific musical forms. Form is how music is organized. The 2nd graders have clearly demonstrated their grasp of this important musical concept!
3rd Grade - Congratulations to all of my 3rd grade students for putting on such an entertaining show! "The Granny Awards" was a lot of fun to rehearse with the kids, but even more fun to watch!
4th Grade - This week we finished our music assessments! We used new equipment called Mimeo Vote. It is a remote control system which allows us to assess without using paper.
5th Grade - One and a half more dances are learned. We are on a fast and intense pace preparing our 5th grade show which is only a month away now!
Please come and see "Thoroughly Modern Millie" at Thomas Middle School this weekend! Our first performance is tonight at 7:00. There are two shows on Saturday. The first is at 2:00 and the later show is at 7:00. Our final performance is on Sunday at 2:00.
