Kindergarten - We are all very proud of the kindergarten students for doing such a great job in their first show on the Ivy Hill stage!
st Grade - We are continuing to use the 2nd grade music books. They are getting on jump on being music readers!
nd Grade - This week we started taking a close look at the music staff. We practiced making our voices go up, down and stay the same according to what the notes said.
rd Grade - We read a book about the life of Beethoven and listened to excepts from his 5th and 6th Symphonies. Ask your third grader what a symphony is!
th Grade - We are in the middle of watching "West Side Story". This week we enjoyed classics like "Tonight" and "America".
th Grade - This week we had our first all group practice on the stage. I have met with parent volunteers for the pizza party, reception, costume and scenery committees. It is not too late to get involved! We could use a few more hands to cut fabric and iron. Please contact me if you would be willing to help out with something. A 5th grade show packet will be going home next week. This will be full of important information about our dress rehearsal, the reception after the show, and what costume items each student will need to bring from home to wear during the show. Please remember that I will post all letters underneath the 5th grade show tab at the top of my blog.
