1st Grade - I recorded each class singing the Presidents Song. You can find links to those videos here on my blog. We had a lot of fun with the story "Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day". We played instruments to the repeated rhythm patterns and then recreated those rhythms with our new Mega Blocks.
2nd Grade - We are making out way through The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra.
3rd Grade - I am thrilled with the great work the students did with Garage Band and their biome projects!

Now we are focusing our energy on the 3rd grade show!
4th Grade - We listened to Aaron Copland's "Fanfare for the Common Man" and identified the sounds of the brass instruments. We also learned some fun drum patterns to play along with La Bamba!
5th Grade - This week we learned the dance for Waka Waka. Lots of fun and lots of sweat! The costume committee has met and we have exciting plans for this show! It is not too late to turn in the pink sheet, if you'd still like to get involved with a committee.
