1st Grade - We listened to orchestral music this week. Brahms' Hungarian Dance #5 made them giggle as we danced across the room feeling the tempo changes. Grieg's In the Hall of the Mountain King stirred up imaginative stories in their minds. We wrote out the rhythm patterns of the music and watched a video of an orchestra.
2nd Grade - We are taking an online safari adventure and learning about the instrument families.
3rd Grade - I enjoyed taking these students into the computer lab for an hour this week. The children added music and sound effects underneath their reports they recorded into Garage Band.
4th Grade - We combined the sounds of Orff instruments with our new drums. They are continuing to read music and improvise.
5th Grade - We are dancing, singing, sweating and laughing! If you have not turned in a pink slip to me and still wish to get involved in a 5th grade show committee, please email me. eopitz@sd25.org
