1st Grade - We have been using the drums to feel the rhythmic patterns of coin poems, our birthdays and even Hickory Dickory Dock.
2nd Grade - We are continuing to practice finding and playing steady beats and the rhythms of words. We've used multiplication facts, a Big Dream song and our birthdays to feel these patterns. We also started learning a partner game on the drums.
3rd Grade - The students are learning about improvising and have demonstrated how fun it is by creating their own patterns on the drums.
4th Grade - We are in rehearsal mode for the 4th grade show! Auditions have been taking place this week during lunch recess. The cast list will be posted next week.
5th Grade - We are working on some challenging rhythm patterns and layering them as an ensemble. We also started a drum circle piece that requires intense listening. They re doing a great job with this!
