1st Grade - This week we enjoyed hearing George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. We watched a part of Fantasia 2000 and noted all of the musical elements the children have learned about this year.
2nd Grade - Our emphasis this week has been on beat and rhythm. They have been singing and reading music successfully and have played the rhythm sticks in various patterns as they sang.
3rd - We are practicing note reading, listening to American folk instruments and discussing Beethoven.
4th Grade - The students are taking tests about instruments and instrument families. They are also practicing how to play instruments at different tempos and dynamic levels.
5th Grade - Final dances are being rehearsed this week. Our show is now less than 3 weeks away!
