Kindergarten - We are continuing to experience the fundamentals of music through sining, dancing and playing drums. Beat, echo, high, low, fast and slow are now familiar vocabulary words.
2nd Grade - We have been focusing on understanding the difference between beat and rhythm. This week we added music notation to see the difference. They are continuing to to sing beautifully and drum more challenging patterns.
3rd Grade - We are focusing on learning a song for an upcoming competition. The students are reading music and learning about repeat signs, first endings and second endings. They are applying these concepts while reading rhythms and playing them on the drums.
4th Grade - Auditions are almost done. I will be posting the cast list on Monday. Thank you to the parents who have offered to help with costumes and scenery!
5th Grade - This week we analyzed a familiar drum ensemble and notated it. Now the students are creating their own 3 part drumming ensemble. Videos will be posted soon!
