Week of September 21 - 25

Kindergarten - Ask your child why we are trying to sing like peach ice cream!  We are singing, dancing, playing drums, reading and even learning a little sign language.

2nd Grade - This week we reviewed the pretest that they took last week.  We pulled out the Mega Blocks and reviewed notes and rhythm patterns.  We started working on a drum piece with partners.  Look for a picture on Twitter!  We also had some fun with birthday rhythms.

3rd Grade - The students are continuing to strive for excellence with their competition song.  We are also reviewing 2nd grade drum patterns and continuing to improvise.

4th Grade - Today a letter is going home with important information for the 4th grade show.  A copy of that letter can be found here on my blog under the 4th grade show tab.  This week the students learned 2 dances!

5th Grade - I continue to find ways to challenge these students musically.  Now that they have learned some complicated rhythm patterns, I am conducting them to change the dynamic levels and tempos.  This is very difficult!  Look for a video and picture on Twitter!
